Best area to stay in Split Croatia

Split is a really excellent choice for a trip – with its combination of history, beaches and luxury. It’s hard not to smile when you’re there! Wondering about the best area to stay in? I’ll show you the way through it!

The city offers some truly amazing beaches and luxury hotels. I’ll give you my own experiences and tips for choosing where to stay and what to do whilst in Split.

Central Heritage Hotel Split

I stayed at Central Heritage Hotel Split – right in the city centre itself. It’s a great place if you really want to be close to historical sites and witness Split’s history itself.

The hotel beautifully blends the history with modern comforts. I really loved strolling about, looking round and trying local food. It’s also literally a short walk to Diocletian’s Palace – a must-see one!

Historical places

Croatia’s history is incredibly rich and Split is literally full of it. I spent quite a bit of time exploring Roman remains and medieval walls. It’s as if you’re walking through a living museum itself!

Diocletian’s Palace is the real star attraction here. It’s so ancient yet preserved to perfection – and you can simply walk through its narrow alleys and catch glimpses of what life was like all those centuries back. I felt as if I’d taken a step right back in time itself. And don’t forget the Cathedral of Saint Domnius. It’s a real historical gem and the spot where you will get to behold beautiful views of the city itself from above.

Islands close to

Split is really known for having islands right nearby. Just a very short boat ride will take you to many truly beautiful islands themselves!

Hvar was one of the highlights of my trip. It’s a just short boat ride from Split itself and offers luxury, an array of good restaurants, beaches and luxury hotels. A perfect spot to really relax itself!

Hvar hotels luxury

When I say luxury I just have to think of the luxury hotels on Hvar. I stayed in one of the top-rated Hvar hotels, and it was just a dream come true itself. The view from my room was just too beautiful, I kept staring out at the super-clear blue waters. The service itself was super attentive, and the spa treatment was so calming that I really didn’t want to leave. If you’re looking for luxury, this has got to be your destination!

The nearby beaches themselves were simply beautiful with clear waters perfect for just relaxing. I could not have wished for a better escape itself!

Luxury hotels

If you’d rather stay in Split itself then there are truly amazing luxury hotels there too. I have to say that I visited a few of them, and they are absolutely stunning themselves!

Luxury hotels in Split blend together city life and beach relaxation itself. I stayed right by the sea and woke up to the sound of waves. It was literally like a dream come true itself!

Luxury tours

The absolute best way to see Croatia is via a luxury tour itself. I did one, and it was the really main point of my whole trip. Our guide was fantastic and we saw all the famous historical sites and those truly beautiful nature spots themselves.

Whether it’s wine-tasting or visiting ancient ruins, a luxury tour makes it all so effortless and stylish itself!

Split’s beach clubs themselves are truly unforgettable. If you are a fan of really wild nightlife and the view itself, these clubs are really meant for you. Dance to music on the beach and watch the sunset – it really was amazing itself!

I really enjoyed spending time with my friends sipping cocktails and letting myself be a part of that really lively atmosphere of each club. Each beach club really does have its own special atmosphere itself, making you really feel like you’re living the best life possible!

Don’t miss out on this experience in Split itself!

Vis island itself has some of the most beautiful beaches ever. That short boat ride is worth every moment – a really hidden gem much further away from the crowds themselves!

The beaches on Vis island itself are peaceful and not quite so crowded. I spent hours basking in the sun and swimming in the super-clear waters – it was such a hidden paradise.
