If you are someone who loves seafood just like me, you have got to see the very best seafood destinations. All over the world, there are many locations where you will be able to indulge in some incredible seafood dishes that will simply blow your mind! Whatever your preferences – oysters, lobsters or freshly caught fish – these destinations won’t disappoint. I’ll tell you about some of the best places I have ever visited where I had the finest seafood meals of my life.

Sydney, Australia

Oh Sydney! I have visited Sydney and simply can’t begin to describe the freshness and tastiness of the seafood. It is truly one of the best seafood destinations, without a doubt. The fish in Sydney is so extremely fresh that you would almost think it just leaped out of the ocean itself! I had the pleasure of trying a wide variety of fish – from barramundi to the snapper – and each bite was even better than the last one. There’s something truly unique about tasting seafood in Sydney, right against the backdrop of this beautiful harbour. Whether at an expensive restaurant or the smallest of the seafood markets, I promise you will have the most unforgettable experience ever. If you’re as crazy about seafood as I am, you’ll definitely want to visit Sydney!

Maine, USA

If you are anything like me, you might dream of spending a whole day devouring an enormous lobster feast. I am going to tell you that the place to go if you are looking for the best lobster in the world is indeed Maine. The lobsters in Maine are extremely sweet and juicy – perfect for a summer lunch. I remember sitting at a small, seaside seafood stall, opening up a live lobster and dipping the meat into melted butter – it was just heavenly. Maine is well-known for its lobster rolls too. Each time I’m visiting, I make sure to get one. I really recommend heading over to the coast and have a look at the seafood markets where you can buy live lobsters and then have them cooked right in front of you – it’s a really nice experience.

Oyster Lovers – Paris, France

When I think of oysters, I immediately think of Paris. It’s not just the city of love, but also a place that has amazing seafood! Paris is one of the best seafood destinations if you’re really into oysters. I was really excited when I visited because Paris offers the freshest oysters I’ve ever had. Whether you dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant or get your oysters from a street market, the quality is always top-notch. The oysters in Paris are perfectly briny, and they’re served with a glass of white wine that makes them taste even better. If you love oysters, trust me, Paris will blow your mind.

Sushi Lovers – Tokyo, Japan

Sushi is truly one of my all-time favorite foods, and there is nowhere better to enjoy it than Tokyo. Tokyo is renowned for its sushi and the seafood there is really as fresh as can be. I was lucky enough to experience sushi at the Tsukiji Fish Market – where I watched chefs carefully slice the fresh fish right before my very own eyes. The quality of the tuna, salmon and eel in Tokyo is simply the best, and each sushi roll is a perfect mix of different flavors. If you’re like me, madly in love with sushi, Tokyo must be right at the very top of your list of the best seafood destinations. I could honestly say that I would be happy to eat sushi every single day in Tokyo and I would never get tired of it.

Barcelona is the place where I got to see some of the most fresh seafood ever. If you’re as crazy about seafood markets like I am, then you’ll really want to take a visit to Barcelona. The La Boqueria market is without a doubt one of the best seafood destinations if you’re a seafood lover.
